Together we make a Difference!

Coalition Purpose

The purpose of the Community Partners Coalition is to reduce substance use/abuse among the youth of East Texas. Our projects and events provide opportunities for the community to become involved. By developing relationships, partnerships and collaborations, the coalition will become even stronger.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a coordinated approach to the prevention of substance use/abuse among youth. We strive to make a difference by educating the public and expanding our reach.

Our History

Acting as the lead agency for the Community Partners Coalition, SCCADA, was awarded five years of funding from the Office of National Drug Control Policy and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention for the Drug Free Communities Support Program.  In 2006, SCCADA was awarded another five years of funding to continue the efforts of the coalition.  We have two basic goals: Reduce substance abuse among youth and strengthen the community through collaborations and partnerships.
